Salaries are the most important, and in numerous cases, the only, type of income of the great majority of individuals. People decide to follow a certain career only because of the salaries level in that certain area. Everyone knows that there are certain jobs that are much better paid compared to others, but, not everyone can develop a career in such domains. For example, not everyone can be an NBA player or an athlete, but almost everyone can study and earn a degree to be able to work as a dentist, engineer or professor. Well, here are the average salaries in the U.S., of various professions and job sectors.

The best paid job sector at the moment, in the United States, seems to be linked to the medical system, as the highest salaries level is attributed to the general physician job position. A general physician is going to earn a salaries average level of about $ 8,189, after taxes. Dentists have the average salaries of $ 6,164. And engineers seem to be on the third place when it comes to the highest salaries level by domain. So, an engineer is going to earn about $ 4,710 a month. Professors have average salaries of $ 4,638. You may find this kind of shocking, but, an airline pilot earns less than all the people in the categories already mentioned. For such a job position, people earn $ 4,206.

Well, if you already found which are the average salaries level for the best paid jobs, you should know that the lowest incomes are obtained by people who work as hotel receptionists, salespersons, bus drivers, and also as chambermaids. So, if a postman is going to earn a median salary of $ 2,638, a bus driver is going to receive in average only $ 1,594. A hotel receptionist will earn even less, about $ 1,469 a month. There is no wonder after all that so many people decide to work in a certain domain only because of the salaries that can be obtained after a certain period of time. And since money are so important in today’s society, there is no shock in the fact that people are willing to make many sacrifices with the purpose to obtain higher earnings and incomes.

NBA stands for the National Basketball Association and it is one of the most competitive men’s professional basketball leagues in the world. With a history of more than 60 years, NBA is famous world-wide and it has millions of fans all over the world. This popularity is also due to the teams that play in the NBA, like L.A. Lakers, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic or Chicago Bulls and to the famous players that are offering a great show every time they play.

The NBA players have some of the biggest salaries in the world and I am sure that everyone would like to know how much they earn and which are the NBA players with the top salaries. The highest paid team in the NBA is currently the L.A. Lakers, with $94.745.383, so it is natural that the best paid player in the NBA would be a L.A. Lakers player, Kobe Bryant, who makes $ 25 million every year. His salary is nowhere near the salaries of the average basketball players, because he is one of the best players in the world, so it is obvious that he makes more money. Second in the list comes Rashard Lewis from Orlando Magic, with $ 20.5 million, then Kevin Garnett from Boston Celtics, with $ 19 million. The 4th place goes to Tim Duncan from San Antonia Spurs, who makes $ 18.7 million each year and the 5th in the list is Michael Redd from Milwaukee, with $ 18.3 million. The list continues with Pau Gasol ($ 17.8 million), Andrei Kirilenko ($ 17.8 million), Yao Ming ($ 17.7 million), Gilbert Arenas ($ 17.7 million) and Dirk Nowitzi, Vince Carter and Zach Randolph ($ 17.3 million, each).

This is the list of the NBA players with the top salaries. You may find these amounts of money ridiculous, but you must know that the NBA salaries are regulated by the NBA salaries cap, which is the limit to the total amount of money that the NBA teams are allowed to pay their players. However, it is said that basketball is the second highest-paid sport in the world, after baseball, so after we have seen the list of the NBA players top salaries this should come as no surprise.

List of Minimum Salaries in the European Union

The minimum salary is the lowest hourly, daily or monthly remuneration that employers are forced by law to pay to their employees. Different opinions have been raised regarding the minimum salary law. While some say that it is a good thing, because it reduces poverty and it increases the lifestyle standards, others think that it decreases the employment rate, especially among the low-productive workers. In order to get a picture, here is a list of the minimum salaries in the countries of the European Union, in euros, staring with the lowest and finishing with the highest.

Latvia: 129;

Romania: 142;

Lithuania: 159;

Slovakia: 183;

Estonia: 192;

Poland: 234;

Hungary: 247;

Czech Republic: 261;

Portugal: 437;

Slovenia: 512;

Malta: 580;

Spain: 631;

Greece: 668;

France: 1.218;

Belgium: 1.234;

Great Britain: 1.269;

Holland: 1.273;

Ireland: 1.293;

Luxembourg: 1.503;

As you can see, the minimum salary varies from one country to another, depending on their development. In a country like Holland, when besides the fact that their economy is under control, they also profit extremely much from tourism, it is logical that the minimum wage is higher than the one in countries like Lithuania or Latvia, which are much smaller countries. Thus, the minimum salary ranges from 129 to 1503, so there is a ten times difference. Although time passes, I do not think that there will ever be a balance, as some countries will always be stronger than others.
